Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage production budgets.
  • Monitor and track expenses to ensure cost efficiency.
  • Provide cost reports and manage resource allocations effectively.
  • Create, update, and maintain production schedules.
  • Coordinate with directors, producers, and department heads to ensure adherence to timelines.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all production departments.
  • Oversee hiring and management of crew members, contractors, and vendors.
  • Secure filming locations, permits, and other essential documentation.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of equipment.
  • Ensure that production adheres to legal, safety, and union regulations.
  • Implement health and safety guidelines on set.
  • Address and resolve production issues, conflicts, and unforeseen challenges promptly.
  • Adapt schedules and budgets as needed to accommodate production changes.

 

Qualifications, Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Media, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in film production or related roles.
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale film productions.
  • In-depth knowledge of film production processes, workflows, and industry best practices.
  • Strong budgeting and financial management skills.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of legal and union requirements related to film production.
